Heather and Richard Mullin offer you a warm welcome at this stunning location a mile and a half above Sawdon village on the edge of Troutsdale and near Dalby Forest. Guests staying in our self catering cottages can walk or ride straight out into miles of tracks and footpaths. Four thousand years ago ancient man also chose this elevated site to build a Bronze Age burial mound. Sunsets can be spectacular.
We have 3 acres of landscaped gardens with a box parterre, lawns, patios and a rose garden. We won First in our category in the Scarborough In Bloom Best Kept Garden Competition 2013.
We have a wealth of bird life that we enjoy watching especially our own swallows and goldfinches.
We have created a viewing platform complete with pod summer house to take advantage of the beautiful view of the Vale of Pickering whatever the weather.
Children do need close supervision because there are two large ponds on site. Both ponds attract our grandchildren like magnets.
There is a separate laundry area and secure storage for bikes. Amber Cottage benefits from wheelchair access
Mobile reception can be erratic around the site especially because the stone walls of the barns are very thick.
You may bring your own horse we have three new stables and a paddock and plenty of room for horse boxes or trailers.
Guests may bring a well behaved dog to either Jade Cottage or Topaz Cottage, this area is perfect for dog walking.
